Everything You Need to Know About MVP's Gyropalooza 2025

What Is Gyropalooza?

If you’re new to the MVP scene, Gyropalooza is the company’s biggest annual release—a celebration of science, plastic, and spin. Each year, MVP Disc Sports drops a massive mystery box filled with a blend of exclusive special editions and heavily discounted Lab Seconds, making it one of the most anticipated releases in all of disc golf.

When Will Gyropalooza 2025 Drop?

This year, MVP is bringing back something special: an in-person Gyropalooza event in October 2025, something they haven't done since before COVID. Based on that timing, we expect the Gyropalooza mystery boxes to release shortly thereafter—probably early November.

This timing aligns with years past, and because of the in-person event in October we expect it to be very close to the beginning of the next month.

What’s in the Gyropalooza 2025 Mystery Box?

We don't know.

BUT based off history, we can make some educated guesses. Taking into account everything that we know, we’re expecting the following (specific predictions below):

3–5 special edition discs (many of which will be exclusive molds or plastics)

  • Every year MVP releases special edition discs in these boxes, including never-before-seen discs that are EXCLUSIVE to Gyropalooza boxes
  • Past examples include things like the Eagle McMahon Thrill (retired MVP mold) in 2024, the first drop of the James Conrad Detour in 2023, and Total Eclipse plastic in 2022
  • More below on specifics of what we expect to see!

5–7 Lab Second discs

  • These are discs with (minor) cosmetic imperfections that still fly great
  • MVP puts a variety of them in each box, so these make for a fun "mystery box round"
  • This number has fluctuated from year to year but MVP seems to be shifting more towards increasing Special Edition discs instead of overloading boxes with Lab Seconds, which we love

A chance at Golden Ticket discs

  • If you're lucky, one of your discs will have an affixed Golden Ticket that grants you entry to an in-person Gyropalooza event

  • This will be held at MVP headquarters in Marlette, Michigan
  • 2024 winners are taking part in the event for 2025, and if you get a Golden Ticket in 2025 you can win a spot for 2026!

Gyropalooza boxes typically offer insane value, even for casual fans of MVP, Axiom, and Streamline. Whether you’re hunting for backup stock or exclusive plastic, it’s easily the best deal of the year.

What’s NOT in the Gyropalooza 2025 Mystery Box?

(These are just our predictions, MVP could surprise us)

- We don’t expect a new Simon Line disc in this year’s box. The Balance just released earlier this summer, the Time-Lapse recently got a retool, and the 2024 Gyropalooza Box featured a new Simon Line disc (the Balance prototype). Given these things, we expect MVP to space out Simon Line releases and pass on a major new release for Simon for Gyropalooza 2025.

- We expect MVP to (finally) move on from including Glitches or other 1 speed variants in Gyropalooza boxes. Their 1 speeds were an immensely popular addition to their lineup, but given that they've been included in several special releases since their debut we expect them to try something different this year.

- The Beam.

Predictions for Gyropalooza 2025

Last year’s box featured Eagle McMahon’s version of the Thrill (an out of production MVP mold), which was also a part of his ongoing Elemental Series. Eagle has now shifted to the "Synergy Series", and it makes sense for MVP to include his third disc in that series as part of the Special Edition discs for Gyropalooza 2025. It would be a perfect time to unleash the (non prototype) version of the Streamline Boost.

We also think that MVP will finally give what their fans have been begging for and produce an Eclipse Trail, either in Eclipse 2.0 plastic OR (our guess) in Particle Glow Proton plastic. Giving the Trail a glow up (hah) would be a crowd-pleaser and a great fit for Gyropalooza 2025.

There will almost certainly be some experimental or test mold. Fans have been begging for an Eclipse Pyro for years, and with the introduction of Particle Glow Proton this year it seems like the perfect time for it to make its debut.

2026 Gyropalooza Golden Tickets

This year MVP will host its first in-person Gyropalooza event since COVID, which opens the door for a new layer of fan engagement. While the 2025 event already has its attendees selected, we wouldn’t be shocked to see a lottery system return for 2026 to expand access even further.

This year, we (Nick and Dustin) received an invite and will be heading to Michigan for that event, and we’re hyped to give you behind-the-scenes coverage, exclusive content, and a closer look at how MVP runs the show at Gyropalooza HQ! Check out our YouTube channel and get behind the scenes access later this October.
