Created in collaboration with Trash Panda Disc Golf, the Hexagon is the world’s first injection-molded golf disc featuring a distinct six-sided rim configuration. Manufactured in Denver, Colorado from 100% recycled plastic, this project started as a design experiment to test how unconventional shapes affect flight dynamics. The result is an incredibly fun, highly unique approach disc that stops on a dime. The Hexagon was originally molded using a wing profile based on popular, highly overstable approach discs (like a Zone or Toro). However, when that overstable rim is given a hexagonal edge, the flat corners fundamentally alter the physics of the flight.

Speed

Glide

Turn

Fade

2

0.5

0

3

How the six-sided design dictates the flight:

High Aerodynamic Drag: As the flat edges spin through the air, they create immense air resistance. Under official PDGA Technical Standards, a golf disc must have a "circular saucer-like configuration." Because the Hexagon intentionally breaks this rule, it is built purely for casual rounds, trick shots, and object golf games.

Why does the Hexagon have six sides?

The project started as a design experiment by Six Sided Discs and Trash Panda Disc Golf to test how unconventional shapes affect flight physics. The flat edges create aerodynamic turbulence, killing the glide and stripping away the traditional sweeping fade of its overstable rim.

Does the Hexagon skip when it hits the ground?

No, it is widely considered an "anti-skip" machine. Because the flat edges create so much drag in the air, the disc decelerates rapidly. When it finally drops out of the sky, the pronounced corners hit the dirt and stop its forward momentum completely, leaving almost zero ground play.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0643/6578/9426/files/Six_Sided_Discs_Hexagon_-_Base_Pink.png?v=1791382620
