GYROpalooza 2026 Guide & Predictions
Every fall, MVP fans circle one event on the calendar: GYROpalooza.
Whether you're chasing exclusive plastics, hoping to throw brand-new molds before anyone else, or simply looking for the best mystery box in disc golf, GYROpalooza has become one of the biggest annual releases in the sport.
Here's everything you need to know about this year's releases, how Digital GYROpalooza works, and our predictions for what could be inside this year's mystery boxes.
What Is GYROpalooza?
GYROpalooza started as a small annual celebration hosted by MVP Disc Sports at their headquarters in Marlette, Michigan. The in-person event brings together Team MVP players, dealers, collectors, and fans for a day of exclusive discs, games, giveaways, factory tours, and first looks at upcoming products.
Today, GYROpalooza is much bigger than just the event itself.
For most players, GYROpalooza means the annual Digital GYROpalooza Mystery Box release. These limited mystery boxes are available through MVP dealers around the world and have become one of the most anticipated disc golf releases every year.
While the in-person event and the mystery boxes happen around the same time, they're two different experiences. Attendees receive exclusive event items that aren't necessarily included in the Digital GYROpalooza boxes, while mystery box buyers receive their own lineup of limited-run discs and experimental plastics.
Why Is GYROpalooza Such a Big Deal?
There are several reasons- the GYROpalooza boxes are head and shoulders the best mystery boxes in the sport, and the value that you get from them is incredible. Add in the limited releases that debut in GYROpalooza boxes every year and you've got a recipe for the hottest release of the season year in and year out.
GYROpalooza has become the time when MVP debuts new plastic combinations, limited production runs, prototype molds, exclusive artwork, and manufacturing ideas that often shape future releases.
Many of these discs have never received another production run in the same plastic since their GYROpalooza release, making the boxes popular with both collectors and players alike.
A Quick Look Back at Previous GYROpalooza Releases
Every year is different, but a few trends have started to emerge. Looking back at previous boxes give us clues on what to expect for this year's release.

Our GYROpalooza 2026 Predictions
While MVP hasn't revealed the contents of this year's Digital GYROpalooza boxes, we can make a few educated predictions based on recent releases and the information already announced for the 2026 in person event.
MVP has not officially announced the contents of the 2026 Digital GYROpalooza Mystery Boxes. The predictions below are based on MVP's release history, recently announced prototypes, previous GYROpalooza trends, and our own wild ideas.
Particle Proton Trail (10, 5, -1, 1)
If we had to pick one disc that's most likely to appear in this year's GyroPalooza mystery boxes, it's the Trail.
Since its release, the Trail has quickly become MVP's most popular driver for beginners and advanced players alike for its long, straight flight. Fans have been begging for a Proton release, and combined with MVP's continued push of their new Particle Proton plastic, it makes a ton of sense for the Gyro Palooza boxes to bring us a Particle Proton Trail.
Simon Line Aspect (9, 5, 0, 2)
The Simon Line Aspect has already made a few limited appearances, giving players an early taste of the mold, but it still hasn't received a full-scale production release.
GYROpalooza has often served as a bridge between prototype releases and wider availability, making the Aspect one of our strongest predictions for this year's mystery boxes. Including it would put the disc into thousands of players' hands while building excitement ahead of a full retail launch.
An Experimental Version of a Fan Favorite Mold
MVP loves to experiment with fan favorite molds in new plastics and rim configurations for GyroPalooza, and we expect more of the same this year
The Hex and Envy were both omissions from last year's box, and given how much MVP loves to push special edition Hexes and Envys, we think they won't be able to resist 2 years in a row. Specifically, we expect them to debut some sort of Eclipse rim version of these discs this year.
MVP did release an Eclipse rim Hex (and Envy) in the 2023 Gyropalooza Box, but we expect this year to be paired with a Proton or Particle Proton rim as an "extra" Eclipse release.
That makes them strong candidates for an exclusive run this year. Whether that's an Eclipse Rim version or another experimental plastic combination, both molds would generate significant excitement among collectors and players alike.
The Return of an old school MVP Mold
Every GYROpalooza seems to include one surprise that longtime MVP fans never saw coming. After bringing back the Thrill in 2024 and the Particle in 2025, 2026 feels like the perfect opportunity for the return of another disc that is now out of MVP's regular production.
Our wild prediction for this year is that we'll see the return of the Inspire. Originally designed as an easy-to-throw understable fairway driver, it earned a loyal following among newer players and those looking for effortless hyzer flips before eventually disappearing from production. With MVP placing a greater emphasis on approachable discs in recent years through molds like the Trail, Detour, and Glitch, the Inspire feels like a natural fit for a one-time GYROpalooza revival. It would appeal to longtime fans while introducing a new generation of players to one of Axiom's most beginner-friendly fairways.
The Return of the Golden Ticket
One tradition we expect to return for GYROpalooza 2026 is the Golden Ticket promotion. Hidden inside a select number of Digital GYROpalooza Mystery Boxes, Golden Tickets grant winners an exclusive invitation to MVP's annual in-person GYROpalooza celebration at their headquarters in Marlette, Michigan.
For many disc golfers, it's a true bucket-list experience. Guests get behind-the-scenes access to MVP Disc Sports with warehouse tours, opportunities to meet Team MVP and company founders, exclusive first looks at upcoming products, limited-release discs, interactive games, giveaways, and events that aren't available anywhere else. Every year, MVP continues to make the event bigger, while keeping attendance intentionally limited to preserve the experience. If the Golden Ticket returns for a third consecutive year, it will once again be one of the most sought-after surprises hidden inside this year's mystery boxes.
Fun with Lab Seconds
While everyone talks about the guaranteed exclusive discs, the Lab Seconds are what make every GYROpalooza Mystery Box different. Each box is filled with a unique assortment of MVP, Axiom, and Streamline discs in a variety of molds, plastics, and color combinations, meaning no two boxes are exactly alike.
But GYROpalooza isn't just about standard Lab Seconds. Every year, MVP sprinkles in a handful of special L2 releases that collectors and players hunt for. Previous boxes have included unreleased molds like the Electron Tempo and Proton Balance before their full retail launches, along with Pro Shop exclusives and other limited-production runs that couldn't be found anywhere else. Those surprise additions have become one of the biggest reasons fans eagerly crack open every disc in the box.
Whether you're hoping to discover a new favorite mold, score an unreleased disc, or simply land an incredible color combination, the Lab Seconds are half the fun of GYROpalooza. You never know exactly what you'll pull, and that's exactly what makes the experience so exciting.
Two Discs We DON'T Expect
The MVP Mass and MVP Control.
MVP has already announced that attendees of the in-person GYROpalooza event will receive prototype versions of the new Mass (a more overstable Tempo with a concave flight plate) and a Particle Proton Control w(ith an Eclipse Rim) through the event pack of the in-person Gyropalooza event.
Because those discs are tied directly to the in-person experience, our expectation is that Digital GYROpalooza will focus on different exclusives rather than simply duplicating the event pack lineup.
Of course, MVP has surprised us before, and that's part of what makes GYROpalooza so much fun each year. But if you're looking for early access to the MVP Mass or an Eclipse rim Control, we think you'll need to find yourself a Golden Ticket (more info on those below)
When Will GYROpalooza 2026 Mystery Boxes Be Available?
Typically MVP announces Gyropalooza Boxes around the middle to end of October, and we expect that again this year. You can sign up for our newsletter and we'll keep you in the loop as soon as MVP gives the word.
Digital GYROpalooza boxes traditionally sell out quickly, especially once MVP reveals the exclusive discs included inside. If history is any indication, availability won't last long after launch.
