MVP Tales of Terror: A Spooktacular Release
The latest MVP newsletter brought a thrilling announcement from MVP Disc Sports: the much-anticipated Halloween 2025 release is officially here ("Tales of Terror") — and these new discs are open for pre‑order at Armory Disc Golf now!
What’s in the Halloween-themed haul?
This release features four haunting designs that channel everything from creepy cornfields to cosmic chaos. Check 'em all out here!
James Conrad Proton Trail (10, 5, -1, 1) – At the heart of this collection is the triumphant return of the fan-favorite Proton Trail. Adorned by Green C Studio with imagery of the "Trail Keeper haunting Conrad’s Corn Maze," this disc leans into hyzer-flips, turnovers, and straight shots — beloved by throwers of all power levels. This is the first "wide" release of this disc in non-Neutron plastic
Eagle McMahon Cosmic Neutron Ohm (2, 5, 0, 1) – A Cosmic Neutron putter illustrated by John Dorn, perfect for glide-filled drives and navigating the “Forest of Doom”. Eagle McMahon chose the Ohm for his Halloween signature disc because he loves to nail pure shots through the woods with it.
Simon Lizotte Particle Eclipse Fireball (9, 3.5, 0, 3.5) – Introduced in the new Particle Eclipse plastic (blue glow core with green glow flakes), the Fireball presents a glowing, particle-filled skull blazing through the design. Overstable and wind-resistant, it’s built for controlled, fade-heavy flight
Jeremy Koling Particle Eclipse Hex (5, 5, -1, 1) – Another Particle Eclipse release, featuring a mystical narrative from DoubleRam Design around the origin of "Lionheart," this straight-flying, slightly understable midrange excels at line shaping either backhand or forehand, as illustrated by Big Jerm.
Silva Saarinen Particle Proton Insanity (9, 5, -2, 1.5) – A Particle Proton driver with a Halloween comic-inspired look by Damian White. It’s stable-understable, offering straight lines with subtle fade at average power, while delivering hyzer-flips, turnovers, and S-lines when thrown with force
The Proton Trail: A Long-Awaited Comeback
Fans have been begging for the Proton Trail’s return since it first debuted, and earlier in the year we speculated it would surface during GYROpalooza. MVP delivered on the request of the people, bringing the Trail's beloved flight characteristics and unique art back to the lineup with a perfect dose of horror flair.
Particle Eclipse: MVP's Newest Plastic Blend
This release also debuts MVP's latest in their "Particle" blend. Particle Eclipse plastic is making its first appearance on Simon's Fireball and Big Jerm's Hex- they will have a standard rim, an Eclipse core (blue glow for these), and additional Eclipse flakes (green glow) in the core as well. Silva's Insanity will have the Particle Proton plastic that we've seen on a handful of molds already (various colored Proton cores with Eclipse flakes).
Pre-Orders & Release Outlook
MVP typically has a 6-8 week turnaround time from new release announcements to their actual release date, but the exact time is still TBD. We will update here whenever we hear word!
