Mint Discs Idol Flight Numbers: 13, 5, -1, 2.5
The Idol is Mint’s flat, fast bomber engineered for controllable maximum distance. The Apex (2nd Run) refines that concept for throwers chasing extra carry: the disc now has more dome and a lower parting line, which together boost aerodynamic lift and translate into noticeably more distance on clean releases. The Apex plastic remains a slightly firmer, opaque blend (similar to Prodigy’s opaque 400-style plastics), giving a solid feel in the hand and confident snaps on both forehand and backhand throws.
Compared with the earlier Apex Idol run, this 2nd run is tuned to favor extended glide and added carry—ideal if you liked the original Idol flight but want that extra push when the fairway opens. Despite the profile tweaks, the Idol’s core personality holds: a stable-to-overstable 13-speed that resists torque, finishes reliably, and rewards clean form.

Armory Disc Golf believes the Idol is a modified take on the Prodigy Falcor. Both discs share nearly identical PDGA technical specs, and visually, they’re nearly twins. The difference? Neither Mint nor Prodigy has confirmed this, and we're also betting that there’s a degree of manufacturing differences that make them unique.
