The Streamline Autopilot was officially PDGA approved on May 25, 2026, giving players their first real look at a new mold from Streamline Discs. While the name immediately invites comparisons to the Streamline Pilot, MVP and Streamline have not yet announced official flight numbers, plastics, release timing, or the exact slot this disc is intended to fill.
Based on the PDGA approval specs, the Autopilot appears to be in the putter or putt-and-approach category. Its approved diameter is 21.2 cm, height is 1.9 cm, rim depth is 1.4 cm, and rim thickness is 1.1 cm. Those dimensions are much closer to a putter than a midrange or driver, but we’ll wait for official Streamline information before assigning it a flight category.

What Type of Disc Is the Streamline Autopilot?
Streamline has not officially announced the Autopilot’s disc type yet. However, the PDGA dimensions point strongly toward a putter or approach disc. The 21.2 cm diameter and 1.1 cm rim thickness are not driver-like numbers, and the name Autopilot suggests it may be related in concept to the existing Streamline Pilot.
That said, this is not confirmed. Until Streamline releases official flight numbers or product copy, the safest description is:
The Streamline Autopilot is a newly PDGA-approved Streamline mold that appears to be a putter or approach disc based on its approved dimensions.
Streamline Autopilot Flight Numbers
Official Streamline Autopilot flight numbers have not been released yet.
Once MVP or Streamline confirms the flight numbers, we’ll update this page with the full flight rating and a more complete breakdown of how the Autopilot is expected to fly.
Streamline Autopilot Release Date
The Streamline Autopilot does not currently have an official public release date.
PDGA approval means the disc has cleared the technical approval process for sanctioned play, but it does not necessarily mean a retail release is immediate. Some molds release quickly after approval, while others may take longer depending on production, marketing plans, and scheduled MVP family release windows.
Streamline Autopilot vs Streamline Pilot
The Autopilot name naturally makes players wonder whether this mold is connected to the Streamline Pilot. The Pilot is one of Streamline’s most recognizable putters, so the name “Autopilot” sounds like it may be designed to sit near that family of discs.
The confirmed PDGA dimensions make that comparison reasonable, but the relationship has not been officially confirmed. The Autopilot may be a Pilot-adjacent putter, a more approach-focused version, or an entirely separate putt-and-approach mold. Dustin thinks it will be a slightly more over stable and faster version of the Pilot based on the rim profile. We’ll update this section once Streamline provides official details.
Should You Be Excited for the Streamline Autopilot?
If you like Streamline putters, MVP family approach discs, or new molds that fill practical scoring slots, the Autopilot is worth watching. The name suggests a controlled, dependable disc, and the dimensions suggest a slower-speed mold rather than a driver.
For now, the smart move is to treat the Autopilot as a developing release. The mold is real, the PDGA approval is confirmed, but the flight and retail details are still pending.
