Flight Numbers & Performance

The Votum operates on official flight ratings of Speed: 7, Glide: 5, Turn: 0, and Fade: 3. It features a slightly outward-beveled inner rim that provides an incredibly clean, smooth release for both backhand and forehand grips.

How the Ethos Votum handles off the tee:

• The "True" Flight: While standard numbers indicate a heavy 3-fade, the community generally finds the premium Ethos runs to fly a bit straighter. It yields a flight path more comparable to an Innova Teebird3 or Discmania FD1, holding straight for a very long time before a moderate, pushing finish.
• Beautifully Seasoned: As the Ethos plastic beats in, the Votum becomes an exceptional tool for tight, wooded hyzer-flips or subtle, drifting turnover shots that do not aggressively dump out at the end of their flight.

The Ethos Plastic Advantage

Manufactured by MVP Disc Sports, TSA's Ethos plastic is a premium, translucent blend renowned for its elite durability and glass-like aesthetics. It typically molds up with a slight dome, providing excellent glide and a very comfortable grip. Ethos easily withstands high-speed tree kicks, meaning your Votum will retain its out-of-the-box flight characteristics for a very long time while showcasing incredible foil stamps.

• Plume Votum: Built using microbubble weight-reduction technology (typically 150-159g). It offers easier distance and a slightly less stable flight path tailored for players with slower arm speeds.
• Glow Votum: The most overstable version of the mold. Features a board-flat top, resists torque remarkably well for forehands, and has a much more aggressive dumping fade.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Ethos Votum good for beginners?

While absolute beginners might find the 3-fade a bit too overstable initially, the Ethos Votum is an excellent "step-up" fairway driver once a player starts developing decent arm speed. It teaches great angle control and provides a highly dependable finish.

How does the Votum feel in the hand?

It feels very similar to an Innova Teebird or Eagle. It has a comfortable 1.80 cm rim width and a slightly outward-beveled inner rim that prevents the disc from snagging on your fingers during your release.
