Innova DUO Eagle 7 | 4 | -1 | 3

The DUO Eagle is Calvin Heimburg's 2026 Tour Series Eagle. Calvin has thrown the Eagle for years, and his run is flatter, stiffer and more overstable than a stock Eagle, which is how he likes them. It still has the Eagle's straight flight, but it holds a hard throw better and finishes with a stronger fade. Flight Numbers

At 7 | 4 | -1 | 3, the Eagle is a stable fairway driver that's easy to control. The 7 speed means you don't have to throw it as hard as a distance driver, and the 4 glide carries it a good distance without floating away. The -1 turn gives it a little drift when you throw it hard and flat, and the 3 fade brings it back with a dependable finish at the end.

Speed Glide Turn Fade
7 4 -1 3

The Eagle delivers:

  • Straight, Controllable Flight: Throw it flat and it flies straight with just a little drift before it starts to fade.
  • Reliable Fade: The 3 fade brings it back at the end every time, so you know where it's going to land.
  • Holds Any Angle: It holds hyzer lines well and can handle a little anhyzer when you need to shape a shot.

It excels at:

  • Tight fairways and wooded holes where control matters more than distance
  • Hyzer lines and shots that need to finish left (for right-handed backhand)
  • Forehand drives for players who want a stable, predictable fairway driver

The DUO Plastic Advantage

DUO is Innova's blend of two premium plastics fused together into one disc, so every disc has a two-tone look and no two are exactly alike. It feels firm and durable like the Champion and Star runs. This run is flatter and stiffer than most Eagles, which is a big part of why it flies a bit more overstable. Like other premium plastic, it seasons slowly.

How the Eagle Fits in the Innova Lineup

  • Vs the Champion Eagle: Same mold and flight numbers. Firm, translucent and the most durable Eagle. It holds its stability the longest.
  • Vs the Star Eagle: Same mold and flight numbers. Grippy and opaque, it holds well in the rain and seasons a little faster than Champion.
  • Vs the Proto Glow Champion Eagle: Gregg Barsby's 2026 Tour Series in glow Champion plastic, great for night rounds.
  • Vs the Proto Glow Champion Eagle L: The Eagle L, a straighter Eagle with less fade, in Sofia Donnecke's 2026 Tour Series glow run.
  • Vs the Innova Champion Teebird: The Teebird (7 | 5 | 0 | 2) has more glide and less turn, so it flies straighter and floats a little more. The Eagle has a bit more turn and a stronger fade.
  • Vs the Innova Champion Firebird: The Firebird (9 | 3 | 0 | 4) is faster and much more overstable. It's the one for headwinds and hard forehands when the Eagle isn't enough.
  • Vs the Discraft Stalker: The Stalker (7 | 5 | -1 | 2) is another 7 speed control driver. It has a bit more glide and a softer finish, while the Eagle fades back harder at the end.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Innova Eagle

How does the Innova DUO Eagle feel in the hand?

The Eagle is 21.2 cm across and 1.6 cm tall with a 1.2 cm rim depth and a 1.7 cm wide rim. Calvin's run is flatter on top and stiffer than most Eagles, so it sits flat in the hand and feels firm. Check the parting line measurement in the photos to compare discs.

How does the Innova DUO Eagle handle wind and power?

Better than a stock Eagle. This run is flatter, stiffer and more overstable, so it holds hard throws and handles headwinds with less turn, then finishes with a stronger fade.

Does the Innova DUO Eagle break in over time?

Slowly. DUO is a premium blend, so it takes a long time to beat in. Over many rounds it gets a little straighter, which brings it closer to a stock Eagle's flight.
