The Pro Tern features flight numbers of 12 | 6 | -3 | 2. While it still requires a decent amount of velocity to get up to speed, its comfortable, slightly shallower rim makes it easier to grip than standard 13-speed or 14-speed bombers. The exceptional 6 glide keeps the disc soaring, while the -3 turn provides a massive, sweeping S-curve before the dependable 2 fade pulls it back to center.

Is the Tern a good driver for beginners?
Because it is a 12-speed driver, the Tern is not recommended for absolute beginners, as it still requires a fair amount of arm speed to fly correctly. However, for advancing players who have mastered their 9-speed and 10-speed drivers, the Tern is one of the easiest ways to transition into the high-speed distance driver category.
Why does the Tern have different flight numbers depending on the plastic?
Innova adjusts the flight numbers on the Tern based on how the plastic cools and molds. Pro, Star, and GStar Terns are heavily understable and feature a -3 turn. Champion and Halo Star plastics mold up stiffer and more overstable, so Innova rates them with a -2 turn to accurately reflect their flight.
How does the Tern compare to the Daedalus?
The Tern and Daedalus are very similar understable bombers. The main difference is speed and control: the Tern is a 12-speed (making the rim slightly more comfortable for many players) and is generally considered a bit more predictable and controllable than the 13-speed Daedalus.
